Thank you for looking at this “about” page. It’s not easy to write about ourselves but I believe its important to get a sense of your therapist's perspective. We may be a good fit or we may not- buI I encourage you to give yourself at least 6 visits before you make a switch. There is a great therapist for everyone!
I am self-searching and evolving. I continually challenge myself to adapt to this ever-changing internal and external world. I believe that the changes we hope to see in our larger world are only possible when we face and discover the blessings of our individual challenges. I fell off the track a bit as a teen, got sober 27 years ago, survived a few marriages, single parenthood, and my 13 year old son’s death at the hands of brain cancer in 2003. Wanting to help others, I went to nursing school and received my BSN from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, RN license and was blessed to experience the nursing profession in a variety of settings. Wanting to help people on a more personal level, I obtained my M.ED from UTSA and hold my LPC license in the State of Texas. I was seeing clients in person until Covid19 made it impossible to guarantee everyone's safety; at which time I switched to virtual only sessions. After nearly 18 months of this, I have found it to be very effective. And clients appreciate the flexibility it allows.
My hope is to help my clients achieve the most peaceful existence possible given their current circumstances. This renewed state of being places each one of us in unique position to compassionately help each other evolve.
My responsibility to all my clients:
My hope is that you will reach out to me so that I can help you.

I believe this makes me most suitable for a profession that values people first. I am honored to listen and be present. It is a privilege to be invited to share others’ experiences on a deep and personal level.
