Thank you.

Thank you for looking at this “about” page. It’s not easy to write about ourselves but I believe its important to get a sense of your therapist's perspective. We may be a good fit or we may not- buI I encourage you to give yourself at least 6 visits before you make a switch. There is a great therapist for everyone!

A little About me

I am self-searching and evolving. I continually challenge myself to adapt to this ever-changing internal and external world. I believe that the changes we hope to see in our larger world are only possible when we face and discover the blessings of our individual challenges.  I fell off the track a bit as a teen, got sober 27 years ago, survived a few marriages, single parenthood, and my 13 year old son’s death at the hands of brain cancer in 2003. Wanting to help others, I went to nursing school and received my BSN from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, RN license and was blessed to experience the nursing profession in a variety of settings. Wanting to help people on  a more personal level, I obtained my M.ED from UTSA and hold my LPC license in the State of Texas. I was seeing clients in person until Covid19 made it impossible to guarantee everyone's safety; at which time I switched to virtual only sessions. After nearly 18 months of this, I have found it to be very effective. And clients appreciate the flexibility it allows.

My hope is  to help my clients achieve the most  peaceful existence possible given their current circumstances.  This renewed state of being places each one of us in unique position to compassionately help each other evolve.

  • I am an observer of people and their motives and I am intrigued by the unique and creative ways in which human beings face and cope with various life experiences.

  • I have been a member of two Twelve Step programs for many years and I have been privileged to share the joys and sorrows of both the skillful and unskillful ways in which people face and escape life.

  • I am a natural teacher, leader, and guide. I have had a meditation practice for 25 years and believe strongly in mindfulness and self care.

  • I regularly  seek direction and enjoy helping others to tune into their own unique navigation system.

My responsibility to all my clients:

  • I will help my clients navigate life and uncertain times through deep personal discovery.
  • I will guide you toward self-acceptance and uncover the best of you.
  • I will facilitate my clients to an enriching Quality of Life.

My hope is that you will reach out to me so that I can help you.

You will discover:

  • Ways to reduce your stress
  • Decrease anxiety and fear
  • Manage your emotions
  • How to find your balance
  • How to have the best life possible.

I believe this makes me most suitable for a profession that values people first. I am honored to listen and be present. It is a privilege to be invited to share others’ experiences on a deep and personal level.
